Why does everyone wonder why I own so many books?

Books.  I cannot ever remember a time when I was not a fan of books and reading.  I will forever remember many of the books that I loved when I was younger, and have, as an adult, found copies of many of these books and have them sitting safely on one of my bookshelves.  Little House On The Prairie. The Bobbsey Twins. Doc Dudley's Daughter. Charlotte's Web.  The stories encased in these novels meant so much to me, and, I truly believe, helped to mold the adult that I am now.

As an adult my reading tastes has only widened, encompassing everything from the play of Shakespeare to YA (young adult) high fantasy novels written by authors like Sarah J. Maas and Marissa Meyer to the classic thrillers of Stephen King.  Give me a good book that I enjoy and I will devour it.  I have, on more than one occasion, stayed up all night finishing a book that I could not put down.

Yes, I do own more than 300 books. Yes, there are many on my shelves that I have not read yet. Yes, I do keep buying more books.   Why? Simply because I love books.  Call me a book hoarder, it's ok.  I know that every book I dive into exercises my mind as I am transported to far off world and times and introduced to people and experiences far different than what I am exposed to in "real life".

I am starting this blog for one reason.  To tell the world all about these wonderful, exciting books that I have had the opportunity to discover.  If I can encourage one friend to be more of a reader that they were then I will be happy.  There are thousands of worlds out there that I want to introduce you to, and I hope a few of you are willing to take the journey with me.

Oh! I guess I should explain the name of my blog/Instagram account to everyone. When I read I am often drinking tea, they just go together in my world. So I may add a blurb to each blog post to mention what tea I am drinking at that point.  Get everyone to read good books and drink good tea, it's my mission. Just kidding-kinda ;)

Off to finish my book.  Thanks for stopping by.
